Adriatic Queen Hake a`la cod

Ingredients

• 2 cans of Adriatic Queen canned hake
• 6 large potatoes
• 1 onion
• 1 teaspoon peppercorns
• 4 bay leaves
• 2-3 cloves of garlic
• bunch of parsley
• 2 dl white wine
• olive oil
• salt and pepper

Preparation

1. Place the sliced ​​onion, peppercorns, bay leaves and a little salt in a pot.
2. Pour in about 1 liter of water and let it simmer gently for about 10 minutes to get an aromatic stock.
3. Peel the potatoes and cut them into slices about half a centimeter thick.
4. Boil them in salted water for about 12 minutes until they are soft but not falling apart.
5. Open the cans of canned hake, drain the oil and carefully separate the fish into smaller pieces.
6. Pour a little olive oil into a suitable baking dish or pot.
7. Arrange a row of potatoes, then a row of hake pieces.
8. Sprinkle with chopped garlic and chopped parsley.
9. Pour in some stock and a little white wine.
10. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used up.
Cover the dish and bake in an oven preheated to 180 °C for about 20 minutes. Towards the end, check to see if the dish has absorbed the flavors well and the potatoes are soft. Add a little more stock or wine if necessary.
Add more salt and pepper if desired before serving.
