Pie with Adriatic Queen sardines in vegetable oil

Ingredients

• 350 g flour
• 250 g cold butter, cut into pieces
• 1 egg
• 1 tablespoon sour cream
• A pinch of salt
• Butter for greasing the mold
• 2 cans Adriatic Queen sardines in vegetable oil
• 350 g leeks, sliced ​​into rings
• 300 ml of sweet cream
• 250 g ricotta
• 30 g grated processed cheese (e.g. Grana Padano)
• 3 eggs
• 50 ml olive oil
• Salt and pepper to taste
• (optional) sliced ​​tomatoes and peppers

Preparation

1. In a bowl, mix the flour, salt and cold butter.
2. Rub the butter into the flour with your fingers until you get a crumbly mixture.
3. Add the egg and sour cream and knead into a smooth dough.
4. Shape into a ball, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
5. Shape the cooled dough into a circle that is slightly larger than the pan.
6. Transfer it to a buttered mold, press with your fingers along the bottom and edges, and prick the dough with a fork.
7. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 °C for about 15 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
8. In a bowl, mix the sour cream, ricotta, beaten eggs, olive oil, salt and pepper.
9. Add sliced ​​leek and, if desired, chopped tomato and pepper. Mix everything well.
10. Pour the filling over the dough, sprinkle with grated cheese and arrange the sardines on top.
11. Bake for another 25-30 minutes at 180 °C, until the pie is set and nicely browned.
12. Let the pie cool slightly before cutting and serving.
